Compliance with the UNI-EN 13432:2022 standard has been misstated on the labels of the wooden cutlery belonging to the following lots.
This non-compliance report with the UNI EN 13432:2002 standard does not affect the concept of biodegradability and compostability of the product itself. Wood, although biodegradable and compostable in nature because of its 100% vegetable origin, does not fall within the parameters established by European legislation which defines a material as compostable if it decomposes at least 90% within three months, as biodegradable within six months (read more).
Please be informed that some batches of wooden cutlery have been found to have incorrect labeling. While the packaging includes the batch number, it lacks the "Lot No.:" prefix, which may render these labels contestable. We ask our customers to take note of this discrepancy and apologize for any inconvenience caused.
